Dr. Paul Freund MD
Dr. Paul Freund is an ophthalmologist with sub-specialty training in neuro-ophthalmology. He has a broad practice spanning comprehensive general ophthalmology (including medical glaucoma, laser and other minor procedures, and cataract surgery) and neuro-ophthalmology.
He completed undergraduate BSc in Neuroscience at the University of Alberta and his undergraduate medical training at the University of Western Ontario. He then completed an MSc and his residency training at the University of Alberta before doing his neuro-ophthalmology fellowship at the University of Toronto. Dr. Freund worked at Dalhousie University in Halifax before returning to Toronto to be closer to family.
Dr. Freund has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Journal of Neuro-Ophthalmology, Retina, and Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology and given invited talks and presentations across Canada and the United States including at the National Eye Institute at the National Institutes of Health. He is also a frequent guest lecturer for Optocase.com.
