Dr. Ken Wan OD FAAO, Dipl. ABO
Optometrist
Dr. Ken Wan is a residency-trained, board-certified optometrist and Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, distinctions earned by fewer than 10 percent of optometrists. He provides comprehensive eye care for patients age 7 and up, with a clinical focus on ocular disease, including glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and age-related macular degeneration. He has a special interest in the long-term management and monitoring of glaucoma.

As part of his broad practice, Dr. Wan offers advanced dry eye therapies such as LipiFlow. He is fluent in English and Cantonese and can communicate key eye care concepts in Mandarin.
Dr. Wan earned an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, completed master’s research in ocular blood flow through the University of Waterloo and Toronto Western Hospital, and received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Waterloo. He then completed a residency in ocular disease at Northeastern State University of Oklahoma, which included anterior segment laser training, rural hospital consultation, after-hours care, and surgical co-management.
He maintains active professional development as a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry. He is currently pursuing a Diplomate in Glaucoma through the American Academy of Optometry. He continues to advance his expertise with a strong focus on glaucoma care. He also mentors optometry interns at the University of Waterloo and contributes to continuing education for colleagues and students.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Wan enjoys gardening, reading science fiction, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
