Dr. Anita Ng MD
Dr. Ng is a skillful cataract surgeon and comprehensive ophthalmologist with over 2 decades of surgical experience. She provides a full scope of ophthalmic services including, but not limited to, the diagnosis and management of glaucoma, cataracts, medical retina conditions like diabetic retinopathy and age-related macula degeneration, oculoplastic disease, and refractive surgery.
Dr. Ng graduated from the faculty of medicine, University of Hong Kong as the Gold Medalist and has been honoured to receive multiple scholarships and awards including C P Fong Gold Medal in Medicine and John Anderson Gold Medal. She went on to obtain fellowships from the College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong, Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow, and Royal College of Surgeons of Canada.
Additionally, she earned a master’s degree in health services management in Hong Kong and Australia. After graduating from the Ophthalmology Training Program, University of Hong Kong, Dr. Ng went on to sub-specialize in anterior segment and refractive surgery. She was subsequently appointed to the position of Assistant Professor and worked as an Associate Consultant at the Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong. During this tenure, she was involved in several clinical trials and studies in corneal diseases and refractive surgery with publications in international peer-reviewed journals. She is also awardee of Best Oral presentation in multiple international conferences including International Symposium of Ophthalmology & Asian Oceanic Glaucoma Society and Hong Kong Ophthalmic Symposium.
Currently, Dr Ng is a board-certified Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. She also holds fellowships from The College of Ophthalmologists of Hong Kong and Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow.
Dr. Ng enjoys chair time with patients, and she can communicate fluently in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin.
