Dr. Aditya Salwan  OD

Optometrist 

Dr. Aditya Salwan is a highly skilled optometrist with a passion for delivering exceptional eye care to patients. After completing his undergraduate degree at Western University, he received the opportunity to study at Manipal University in India, where he gained invaluable knowledge and experience in the field of optometry.

During a one-year internship at the renowned L.V.P. Eye Institute in Hyderabad, India, Dr. Salwan had the opportunity to partake in the management of a wide range of ocular conditions. He also completed month-long rotations in ocular sub-specializations such as retina, cornea, glaucoma, uvea, pediatrics, oculoplastics, specialty contact lens, low vision, emergency care, and community health. This experience allowed him to develop a compassionate approach, while retaining critical thinking skills in high-stress hospital situations.  
   
 After completing the International Optometry Bridging Program at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Salwan joined Clarity Eye Institute in Vaughan, ON. In this role, he conducted comprehensive eye exams for patients presenting a wide range of complex ocular conditions, such as glaucoma, retinal pathologies, anterior segment pathologies, and dry eye management. Additionally, Dr. Salwan was responsible for managing both pre/post-operative cataract and refractive surgery patients, as well as handling emergency cases.  
   
Dr. Salwan currently serves as Lumea's Lead LAL Optometrist, working closely with Dr. Sanghera and Dr. Khan to provide exceptional care for Light Adjustable Lens patients undergoing Light Delivery Device (LDD) treatments. He has built strong professional relationships and continues to gain invaluable experience working with industry-leading ophthalmologists.
