Dr. Wes Heroman MD
Medical Retina
Dr. Wes Heroman is a board-certified ophthalmologist with subspecialty fellowship training in retina(medical/surgical) and uveitis. He specializes in the treatment of diseases of the retina and vitreous, with extensive clinical experience in retina care across ophthalmology practices in the United States.

Dr. Heroman completed his vitreoretinal surgery and uveitis fellowship at the University of Louisville, where he also completed his ophthalmology residency. He completed a general surgery internship at Morehouse School of Medicine and earned his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, where he was a Joseph B. Whitehead Foundation Award and Scholarship recipient. He received his Bachelor of Science in Science Pre-professional Studies from the University of Notre Dame, graduating cum laude.
His scholarly work includes publications on retinal vein occlusion, cystoid macular edema, vitrectomy surgery, exudative age-related macular degeneration, neovascular age-related macular degeneration, and ophthalmic findings in systemic disease. His work has been published in journals including Retina, Clinical Ophthalmology, Middle East African Journal of Ophthalmology, Clinical Medicine Insights: Therapeutics, and Archives of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Heroman brings years of dedicated retina experience to patient care, with a focus on patient education and compassionate management of retinal and vitreous disease. Outside of the office he enjoys spending time with his family, fitness, and lacrosse.
