Dr. Melynda Gagliardi OD
Chief Optometrist of the Comprehensive Dry Eye Program (CODEC)
Dr. Melynda Gagliardi began her academic journey at Nova Southeastern University, where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree. She then completed a cornea and contact lens residency at the New England College of Optometry. During her residency, she trained at several world-renowned institutions, including Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Tufts Medical Center, and BostonSight—experiences that helped shape her into the exceptional clinician and leader she is today.

Dr. Gagliardi is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a distinction that reflects both her clinical expertise and her commitment to advancing the profession. She has also recently been published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology.
Currently, she serves as a Clinical Supervisor at the University of Waterloo, where she mentors and inspires the next generation of optometrists. In addition, she had worked alongside Dr. King Chow for several years before becoming the Chief Optometrist of the Comprehensive Dry Eye Program (CODEC) at Clarity Eye. Here she leads innovative approaches to patient care in one of the most rapidly evolving areas of our field.
