Dr. Ken Wan OD FAAO
Optometrist
Dr. Ken Wan is a residency-trained optometrist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a distinction achieved by fewer than 10% of optometrists. He provides comprehensive care for patients aged 7 and up, with a clinical focus on adult and senior medical eye care, including glaucoma, diabetic eye disease, macular degeneration, and ocular surface disease.

At Clarity Eye Institute, Dr. Wan supports the medical management and monitoring of chronic eye conditions in close collaboration with the surgical and specialty team. He has experience in advanced dry eye therapy and offers treatment options including LipiFlow.
Dr. Wan holds an Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto and spent two years conducting research in ocular blood flow at Toronto Western Hospital before earning his Doctor of Optometry at the University of Waterloo. He later completed a residency in ocular disease at Northeastern State University of Oklahoma, a path pursued by only a small minority of optometrists. His residency experience included anterior segment laser training and the management of complex ocular conditions in a rural, referral-based setting.
He is currently pursuing a Diplomate in Glaucoma through the American Academy of Optometry. Dr. Wan also mentors optometry interns from the University of Waterloo and contributes to continuing education initiatives.
